Boiled Potatoes

  • Preparation time : 5 minutes
  • Cooking time: 15 minutes
  • Serving: 175g (6oz) potatoes per person

Method

  1. Place the potatoes in their skins, halved if necessary,
    in a pan and cover with the minimum of boiling water
  2. Cover with a lid and simmer gently for approximately 15-20 minutes, until just tender
  3. Once cooked, drain immediately to preserve the vitamin C,
    which dissolves in the water if the potatoes are left in it

Tip

  1. New potatoes are delicious on their own or served with a knob of butter and chopped fresh mint or chives as an accompaniment to family dinners
